Service Description

Jump into open seas, fight the dragons, and speak to mysterious creatures in this folktales and myth class! In this course, students will study the similarities and differences between fairytales and folktales, myths and legends. They will also learn the reasons why such stories endure throughout time and cultures. We will explore questions like: What is a folk's tale? A fairy story? What is mythology? How do they influence the ways people think and communicate? How are they spoken or written? Additionally, we will learn about the structure of story and myth and how they are not only fun and adventurous tales, but also that they are absolutely necessary to both child and adult development.
