American Literature Since 1865

Intro to American literature since the Civil War

Service Description

From the Civil War and on, American literature takes on the themes of individual as well as national identity, slavery and its effects, growth and expansion, faith, trauma, gender roles, generational identity, as well as naturalism vs. industrialism. In this course, we will explore such themes through the writing of authors like Mark Twain, Langston Hughes, Flannery O'Connor, William Faulkner, and Kate Chopin.


Cancellation Policy

For camps, clients may cancel up to ONE WEEK before camp begins and receive a half refund. For tutoring sessions, clients may cancel up to ONE DAY before their appointment to receive a half refund. Cancellations made the day of tutoring appointments will not receive a refund. Cancelation of any course must be made in writing via email to pageturnersorg@gmail.com. If cancelation occurs on or before the 2nd class session of the month, tuition will be waived for that month. Should cancelation occur after the 2nd class session of the month, tuition for that month will still be applied. Thank you for your understanding.
