Service Description
While Europe may have perfected the novel, the Americans perfected the short story. Poetry has also packed a punch within American history. In this course, students will read American authors such as Washington Irving, O. Henry, Amy Tan, Jack London, Zora Neal Hurston, Edgar Allen Poe, and Joyce Carol Oates. A variety of themes and topics will be covered, such as free will vs. fate, individualism and identity, naturalism vs. industrialism, adventure, and the cost of freedom. This course is for upperclassmen in grades 9 - 12th.

Cancellation Policy
For camps, clients may cancel up to ONE WEEK before camp begins and receive a half refund. For tutoring sessions, clients may cancel up to ONE DAY before their appointment to receive a half refund. Cancellations made the day of tutoring appointments will not receive a refund. Cancelation of any course must be made in writing via email to pageturnersorg@gmail.com. If cancelation occurs on or before the 2nd class session of the month, tuition will be waived for that month. Should cancelation occur after the 2nd class session of the month, tuition for that month will still be applied. Thank you for your understanding.
